Evangelos Apostolou
Evangelos Apostolou graduated of the Department of Forestry at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is member of the Greek Parliament of Synaspismos, during the period 1996-2000. As an M.P., he was member of two Standing Committees, for Finance and Production and Commerce. He is member of the Political Secretariat of Synaspismos 2004 - 2010 and a member of the Central Political Committee from 1998 - 2013. As a member of the Political Secretariat, he was managing Local Government and Regional Development and later on, issues pertaining to Ecology, the Environment and Agricultural Policy. As an M.P of Syriza during that period, he was the Coordinator of Agricultural Development and Food issues. He was a member of the Standing Committee of Production and Trade and of the Special Standing Committee on Parliamentary Ethics. In 2015 he was appointed Alternate Minister of Rural Development in the new Greek Government. He was reelected in September 2015 as an M.P. of Syriza and was appointed as Minister of Agricultural Development and Food.
