Doctor in Political Science, Marietta Karamanli is Deputy of the 2nd district of the department of Sarthe in France, she was elected in 2007 and re-elected in 2012. As Deputy in the French National Assembly, Marietta Karamanli is Vice-President of the European Affairs Committee, and member of the Law Commission in charge of the european monitoring. In this respect, she is the author of several reports and parlementary resolutions on the evolution of police and Justice under the influence of European Law such as the establishment of the European Public Prosecutor's Office, the reform of Europol, or the asylum reform. Besides, she is the Vice-President of the French delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
