Olga Kefalogianni
Olga Kefalogianni was born in Athens in 1975.
She served as Minister of Tourism of Greece (June 2012-January 2015).
Ms Kefalogianni is an attorney at law, member of the Athens Bars Association. She has studied law and international affairs.
From 1998 onwards she has worked as a lawyer in major law firms in Athens, Greece and New York, U.S.A. She has also worked at the Legal Services of the European Commission in Brussels.
From May 2004 up to September 2006 she served as legal advisor to the former Prime Minister of Greece.
In 1997 she obtained her bachelor degree in Law at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens. In 1998 she graduated from King's College, University of London with the degree of Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Commercial and Corporate Law. She obtained her second post-graduate degree in international relations (GMAP) in 2006 from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University.
She is the author of the book "The role of the European Union in the Cyprus conflict", which has been published by the Livanis publishing house.
She has been elected as Member of Parliament (New Democracy) in 2007, 2009 (Rethymno), May 6th 2012, June 17th 2012, January 25th 2015 and September 20th 2015 elections (Athens A).
She is currently a member of the standing committee of educational and cultural affairs and the institutions and transparency committee of the Greek Parliament.
She is the speaker for the main opposition party in the Greek Parliament for Culture and Sports.
