Dr. Theodoros Tsakiris is an Assistant Professor of the UNIC Business School where he specializes on energy policy and the geopolitics and economics of hydrocarbons. Between 2008-2011 he served as a senior policy adviser to three Greek Ministers of Energy. Since his relocation to Cyprus in 2013 Dr. Tsakiris served (2014-2015) as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Company of Cyprus (CHC) and a member of the Council for Geostrategic Studies who consults the President of the Republic on isues of Foreign and Security Policy. Since 2011 Dr. Tsakiris has worked as an ELIAMEP Research Fellow and the Head of the Institute’s Geopolitics of Energy Programme. In this capacity, he participates in the Horizon 2020 FEUTURE Programme on Turkish-EU relations. Since the completion of his doctorate studies (2008), Dr. Tsakiris has authored 1 book, 7 monographs, 11 book chapters and 17 peer-reviewed articles.
